Sympathy for No Devils #1 [COVER]

This was a cover where I used an idea from a Will Eisner page. Only where he had the focus of the drain in the foreground and above it. I wanted to do the same thing but have the pov below the drain with the monsters looking out of it.

I think I made the drain the same type that Eisner did on his page. Putting the title of the book on the billboard came later when I saw how much space I had.

I like doing and thinking of covers like this. These seem less conventional and it’s always fun when you get to invoke an extreme perspective. I appreciate it in the works of people like Eisner, George Perez, and John Bryne when they would do it. I often try and look at the logo as a part of the artwork and where I can incorporate it into the art as well.
