REVIEWS

No Power in the ‘Verse still needs to prove that it can live up to the high bar set by Leaves on the Wind, but it’s off to a decent start, and my fellow Browncoats certainly aren’t going to want to pass up an opportunity to return to the world of Serenity, especially with a canon continuation courtesy of Dark Horse Comics. – Bryant Dillon, Fanbase Press

Buy it! Even if you aren’t familiar with the show Firefly, but you do like sci-fi (space opera in particular), this is a comic you will enjoy. The comic provides a plot summary prior to the opening panel, and, as mentioned above, throughout SERENITY: NO POWER IN THE ‘VERSE #1 the creators work to give readers context and background information. With a great storyline and compelling art, I am excited to travel through the ’verse with Chris Roberson and crew! – Anelise Farris, Rogues Portal

Serenity: No Power in the Verse Part 1 is a solid beginning to a new story arc and as long as they “aim to misbehave”, I’m in. – thegww.com

Altogether, a strong start to an interesting addition to this universe’s canon, as it understands the issue of coping with grief better than I have seen in a while. Chris Roberson, explores some plausible repercussions, about keeps the spirit of the original TV show. Georges Jeanty, draws some vivid sequential art, which gives fans a new view of these familiar characters. Overall, so far, a series that every Browncoat will love. – Graphic Policy
